Tips for Making Lemon Pecan Slices:

- Use fresh lemons for the best flavor. - If you don't have a lemon zester, you can use a microplane grater to remove the zest. - Be sure to cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. This will help to create a smooth and creamy filling. - Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the cookies tough. - Bake the cookies until they are just set. Overbaking will make them dry and crumbly. - Let the cookies cool completely before frosting them. This will help to prevent the frosting from melting. - If you don't have time to make the frosting, you can simply sprinkle the cookies with powdered sugar.
