Tips:
- Use fresh crab meat for the best flavor. Frozen crab meat can also be used, but it should be thawed and drained before using.
- If you don't have any crab meat on hand, you can substitute cooked shrimp or lobster.
- Be sure to finely chop the crab meat (or shrimp/lobster) so that it mixes well with the other ingredients.
- Season the crab mixture generously with salt and pepper. You can also add other seasonings, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika.
- Spread the crab mixture evenly over the tortillas. Don't overload the tortillas, or they will be difficult to roll up.
- Roll the tortillas up tightly and place them seam-side down on a greased baking sheet.
- Brush the pinwheels with melted butter or olive oil before baking. This will help them to brown and crisp.
- Bake the pinwheels in a preheated oven until they are golden brown and heated through. This usually takes about 15-20 minutes.
