Tips:

  • Use fresh herbs for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, you can use dried herbs, but use half the amount.
  • If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice to 1 cup of milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes before using.
  • Don't overcrowd the chicken in the pan when frying. This will cause the chicken to steam instead of fry.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the chicken. The chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help the juices to redistribute throughout the chicken.

Lisa's Original Herbed Fried Chicken Mix is a delicious and easy way to make fried chicken at home. The buttermilk and herb marinade helps to keep the chicken moist and flavorful, while the breading gives it a crispy crust. This recipe is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
