cooking spray
1 (16 ounce) package frozen bite-size potato nuggets (such as Tater Tots®)
8 ounces prepared pulled pork
¾ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
¼ cup BBQ sauce

Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: Russet potatoes are the best choice for tater tots, as they have a high starch content that makes them crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
  • Grate the potatoes correctly: To get the best results, use a box grater with large holes. Avoid using a food processor, as it will make the potatoes too mushy.
  • Season the potatoes well: Don't be afraid to season the potatoes liberally with salt, pepper, and other spices. This will help to bring out their flavor.
  • Use a good quality oil: When frying the tater tots, use a high-quality oil that can withstand high temperatures without burning. Canola oil or vegetable oil are both good choices.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When frying the tater tots, make sure not to overcrowd the pan. This will prevent them from cooking evenly.
  • Serve the tater tots immediately: Tater tots are best served immediately after they are fried. This will ensure that they are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

Conclusion:

Loaded tater tots are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed as an appetizer, side dish, or main course. They are easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With a few simple tips, you can make perfect loaded tater tots that will be a hit with your family and friends.
