  • Follow the directions on the cake mix box. Each cake mix is different, so it is important to follow the directions on the box carefully. This will ensure that your cake turns out perfectly.
  • Use fresh ingredients. Fresh ingredients will produce a better tasting cake. Be sure to use fresh milk, eggs, and butter.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing the batter will make the cake tough. Mix the batter until it is just combined.
  • Bake the cake at the correct temperature. The temperature at which you bake the cake is important. If you bake the cake at too high a temperature, it will brown too quickly and the inside will be undercooked. If you bake the cake at too low a temperature, it will take too long to bake and the cake will be dry.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting it. This will help the frosting to set properly.

Just be sure to choose the right cake mix, follow the directions on the box, use fresh ingredients, don't overmix the batter, bake the cake at the correct temperature, and let the cake cool completely before frosting it.
