Tips:

  • Choose ripe, flavorful peaches: The quality of your peaches will greatly impact the taste of your jam. Look for peaches that are deeply colored and have a sweet, aromatic smell.
  • Use a low-sugar pectin: This will help you reduce the amount of sugar in your jam without sacrificing its texture or flavor.
  • Don't overcook the jam: Overcooked jam will be thick and rubbery. Cook it just until it reaches a thick, spreadable consistency.
  • Let the jam cool completely before storing it: This will help it to thicken further and develop its full flavor.
  • Store the jam in a cool, dark place: This will help it to maintain its quality for up to a year.

Conclusion:

Low-sugar peach freezer jam is a delicious and easy way to enjoy the taste of summer peaches all year long. With just a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a batch of jam that is perfect for spreading on toast, dolloping on yogurt, or using as a filling for pies and pastries. So next time you have a bounty of fresh peaches, be sure to give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
