Time 10m

Yield 16 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup plum tomato, chopped
11 ounces mandarin orange segments, drained
1 cup green pepper, chopped
1/4 cup red onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium-size bowl and mix well.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe produce. This will ensure the best flavor and texture for your salsa.
  • Choose the right type of chili peppers. If you like your salsa mild, use mild chili peppers like poblanos or Anaheims. For a spicier salsa, use hotter chili peppers like jalapeƱos or habaneros.
  • Roast the chili peppers before adding them to the salsa. This will help to bring out their flavor and reduce their bitterness.
  • Don't over-process the salsa. You want to keep some texture in the salsa, so don't puree it until it's completely smooth.
  • Taste the salsa and adjust the seasonings as needed. Add more chili peppers for heat, more lime juice for acidity, or more salt for flavor.
  • Serve the salsa fresh or store it in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Conclusion:

Mandarin salsa is a delicious and versatile condiment that can be used to add flavor to a variety of dishes. It's perfect for tacos, burritos, enchiladas, or simply as a dip with chips. With its sweet and tangy flavor, mandarin salsa is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.
