EASY FROZEN MARGARITAS
Authentic margaritas call for lots of fresh lime juice - both expensive and time-consuming. I've found I can shortcut the process by using frozen limeade. And for a festive non-alcoholic drink, combine a 12-ounce can of limeade (thawed) with a 48-ounce bottle of sparkling water.

Steps:
- Working in 2 batches, place 1 quart ice cubes in a blender. Add 1/2 can limeade, 6 ounces tequila and 2 tablespoons Cointreau. Blend at highest speed until drink is almost smooth. Pour into a pitcher and repeat with remaining ingredients. Store in the freezer.
- To salt the margarita glasses, pour a single layer of salt on a salad plate. Moisten each glass rim with lime; dip each rim in the salt. Pour margaritas into each glass; garnish with lime. Serve immediately.
BEER MARGARITAS
Who would believe that beer would be the perfect solution to eradicating fluorescent green margaritas? Well, it is! Best to use not-so-micro brews to avoid an overpowering beer flavor. Use the limeade can to measure the ingredients, and adjust with extra water if the mixture seems too sweet. Straining the pulp is always a good idea, unless, of course, you like pulp!

Steps:
- Just before serving, in a half gallon pitcher combine the tequila, the minimum amount of Cointreau or Triple Sec and the lime juice. Taste and add more orange liqueur if you think your margaritas need more sweet oranginess to balance the other flavors. Remember, you're tasting it warm and undiluted; when chilled and diluted, the flavors will be mellower and the lime's tartness will be more attractive.
- Pour several tablespoons of lime juice onto a small plate and several tablespoons coarse salt onto another. Have martini glasses at hand (chill them for an extra special touch).
- As your guests ask for their margaritas, invert a glass into the plate with the lime juice to moisten rim, then lightly dip into the plate with the salt. For each drink measure 2 ounces (1/4 cup) of the margarita mixture into a cocktail shaker. If you have a 2-ounce ladle that you can keep in the pitcher, measuring goes much faster. Add ice cubes (5 cubes for 1, 8 for 2, 10 for 3). Secure the lid and top and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds. Strain into the salt crusted glasses and hand off to the lucky recipients
PARKER'S FAMOUS MARGARITAS

Tips:
- Choose the right type of tequila: 100% agave tequila is the best choice for margaritas, as it has a smooth, clean flavor that won't overpower the other ingredients.
- Use fresh lime juice: Fresh lime juice is essential for a great margarita. Bottled lime juice can be used in a pinch, but it won't have the same bright, tart flavor.
- Use a good quality triple sec: Triple sec is an orange liqueur used to sweeten margaritas and give them their characteristic orange flavor. Choose a good quality triple sec, such as Cointreau or Grand Marnier.
- Make sure your ingredients are chilled before shaking: This will help the margarita stay cold and refreshing.
- Shake the margarita vigorously for at least 10 seconds: This will help to incorporate all of the ingredients and create a smooth, frothy texture.
- Serve the margarita immediately over ice: Margaritas are best enjoyed fresh, so serve them immediately after shaking.
Conclusion:
The margarita is a classic cocktail that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With its refreshing, citrusy flavor, the margarita is the perfect drink for any occasion. Whether you're looking for a light and refreshing drink to enjoy on a hot summer day or a festive cocktail to serve at your next party, the margarita is sure to please.
