  • Use vegetable broth or stock: Instead of plain water, use flavorful vegetable broth or stock when cooking bulgur to enhance its taste and add an extra layer of savory flavor.
  • Add aromatic vegetables: When cooking bulgur, include aromatic vegetables like diced onions, carrots, celery, or garlic to elevate its flavor and add texture.
  • Stir in herbs and spices: Incorporate a blend of aromatic herbs and flavorful spices to enhance the taste of the bulgur. Common Mediterranean herbs include parsley, mint, cilantro, and thyme. Spices like cumin, coriander, and paprika add warmth and depth.
  • Add dried fruits and nuts: For a sweet and savory combination, add dried fruits like cranberries, raisins, apricots, or cherries to the bulgur. Nuts like almonds, walnuts, or pistachios add a satisfying crunch and extra nutrients.
