MICHIGAN GRAND SPARKLING CHERRY JUICE
From Macinac Island's famous Grand Hotel comes this "Great Pretender" recipe by Chef Hans Burtscher. I work for AAA and every year they publish a "Great Pretenders" alcohol-free drink recipe booklet. This is my favorite one for this year. Love those cherries! I'm including chilling time in the prep time.

Tips:
- Choose ripe, fresh cherries: The quality of your cherries will greatly impact the flavor of your juice. Look for cherries that are plump, brightly colored, and free of blemishes.
- Pit the cherries before juicing: You can use a cherry pitter or a knife to remove the pits from the cherries. Be careful not to crush the cherries, as this can release bitter flavors.
- Use a juicer: A juicer is the most efficient way to extract juice from cherries. If you don't have a juicer, you can also use a blender or food processor. However, you may need to strain the juice through a cheesecloth to remove any pulp.
- Add sugar or other sweeteners to taste: Cherry juice can be tart, so you may want to add sugar or another sweetener to taste. You can also add other flavors, such as lemon juice, lime juice, or ginger.
- Serve the juice chilled: Cherry juice is best served chilled. You can store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
