Yield Makes 6 finger sandwiches
Number Of Ingredients 7
Steps:
- Spread one side of each slice of bread with butter. Set aside. In a small bowl combine eggs, creme fraiche, and mint. Season with salt and pepper. Spread egg mixture to a 1/4-inch thickness on 2 slices bread. Top with sliced cucumber, and cover with the remaining slices of bread. Remove crusts, and cut each sandwich into three equal fingers.
Tips:
- Choose the right cucumbers. English cucumbers are best for sandwiches because they are long, thin, and have a mild flavor. If you use regular cucumbers, peel them and remove the seeds before slicing.
- Slice the cucumbers thinly. This will help them to fit better in the sandwiches and make them easier to eat.
- Use fresh mint. Dried mint will not have the same flavor or aroma as fresh mint.
- Don't overstuff the sandwiches. You want the sandwiches to be easy to eat without falling apart.
- Serve the sandwiches immediately. Mint cucumber sandwiches are best when eaten fresh.
Conclusion:
Mint cucumber sandwiches are a refreshing and easy-to-make summer treat. They are perfect for picnics, potlucks, or any other summer gathering. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a delicious and healthy snack or lunch that everyone will enjoy.
