This recipe came from needing something to be waiting to eat at the end of the day and had to use what I had!

Provided by Dina Ruggiero

Categories     Chicken

Time 10h20m

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
1 can(s) cream of chicken or mushroom soup
4 frozen chicken breasts
1 stick butter, melted
1 1/2 c chicken stock
1 c half and half
3 clove crushed garlic
1 medium sweet onion
1/2 c parmesan cheese
1/3 c romano cheese, grated
1 tsp salt and pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Place frozen chicken breasts in bottom of crock pot and cover with stock.
  • 2. Add sliced onion to top of chicken.
  • 3. Combine soups, remaining stock, half n half, garlic, cheeses, melted butter and salt & pepper. Mix well and cover onions and chicken with mixture.
  • 4. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
  • 5. Enjoy with rice or noodles!

Tips:

  • Choose boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs. This will make it easier to shred the chicken later on.
  • Use a variety of seasonings. The recipe calls for garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, but you can also add other herbs and spices to your taste. Some popular options include oregano, thyme, rosemary, and cayenne pepper.
  • Don't overcook the chicken. Chicken breasts and thighs are both relatively thin, so they can easily overcook. Cook them on low heat for 6-8 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Use a slow cooker liner. This will make cleanup a breeze. Simply remove the liner from the slow cooker and discard it after use.
  • Serve the chicken with your favorite sides. Some popular options include mashed potatoes, rice, pasta, and vegetables.

Conclusion:

Parmesan chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It's perfect for a weeknight meal or a special occasion. With a few simple ingredients and a slow cooker, you can have a delicious meal ready to enjoy in no time.
