PEACHIE PEACH PECAN NUT BREAD

Peachie Peach Pecan Nut Bread image

Now that the peach season is here, this recipe is really good for using those fresh peaches. When the season is over, just use canned peaches for the same delicious bread. This was a big hit at our Tennis Round Robin Day. I like using a mixture of walnuts and hazelnuts.

Tips:

  • Use ripe peaches for the best flavor. If your peaches are not ripe, you can ripen them by placing them in a paper bag with an apple or banana for a few days.
  • If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of regular milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes before using.
  • Toast the pecans before adding them to the bread. This will bring out their flavor and make them more crunchy.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the bread tough.
  • Bake the bread until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool completely before slicing and serving.

Conclusion:

Peach pecan bread is a delicious and versatile bread that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It's also a great gift for friends and family.
