10 ounces crushed pineapple with juice, drained
1/4 cup pineapple juice, reserved
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
1/4 cup half-and-half
1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon vanilla
8 slices French bread (1")

8 -9 slices bread (or more)
