1 (13.8 ounce) can refrigerated pizza dough (such as Pillsbury®)
1 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
6 large slices deli pepperoni

Number Of Ingredients 8

12 eggs
1 ½ tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 ½ tablespoons mayonnaise
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon hot pepper sauce, or to taste
1 pinch salt and black pepper
¼ teaspoon ground paprika, for dusting (divided)
1 (6 ounce) can black olives, drained and cut in half horizontally

Steps:

  • Place eggs in a saucepan with a lid, pour in water to cover, bring to a boil, and remove from the heat. Cover and let stand for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove eggs from hot water and let cool. Peel the eggs.
  • Cut each egg in half lengthwise, remove the yolks, and place the yolks in a bowl with the mustard, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, and salt and pepper. Mash the yolks, and stir the mixture until smooth and thoroughly combined.
  • Fill each egg half with the deviled yolk mixture, using a spoon, piping bag, or a sturdy plastic bag with a corner cut off. Dust each egg with a pinch of paprika, and place an olive half, round side up, in the center of each. Refrigerate until chilled, 20 to 30 minutes, and serve cold.

Tips:

  • Choose the right eggs: For the best deviled eggs, start with large, fresh eggs. Older eggs will have a thinner white and a runny yolk, which will make them more difficult to peel and stuff.
  • Hard-boil the eggs perfectly: To prevent the yolks from turning green, place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10-12 minutes. Immediately transfer the eggs to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
  • Peel the eggs carefully: Once the eggs are cool, peel them under cold running water. This will help to prevent the shells from sticking to the eggs.
  • Make the filling ahead of time: The deviled egg filling can be made up to 24 hours ahead of time. This makes them a great make-ahead appetizer for parties or potlucks.
  • Garnish the eggs creatively: Once the eggs are filled, you can garnish them with a variety of toppings, such as paprika, chives, bacon bits, or grated cheese. This will add flavor and visual appeal to your deviled eggs.

Conclusion:

Pizza deviled eggs are a fun and easy appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. They are made with hard-boiled eggs that are filled with a creamy pizza-flavored filling. The eggs are then garnished with your favorite pizza toppings, such as pepperoni, cheese, or olives. Pizza deviled eggs are a delicious and festive way to enjoy your favorite pizza flavors in a new and exciting way.
