PIZZA MEATBALLS
I was looking for something a bit different to serve as an appetizer at a get-together with friends and came up with these pizza meatballs. Everyone loved them, and all the cooks (men and women) wanted the recipe. This is good for an appetizer or to make a complete meal served with garlic bread and a tossed salad.

PIZZA MEATBALLS
A very easy recipe from "Taste of Home". Each meatball is stuffed with a cube of mozarella cheese. Kids love these! I usually brown them the day before I serve them and put on low in the crockpot for several hours with the pizza sauce.

Tips:
- Choose the right ingredients: Use high-quality ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, and seasonings to make flavorful meatballs. For the pizza sauce, use a combination of crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic, and oregano.
- Mix the meatballs thoroughly: Combine all of the meatball ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well blended. Be sure to mix gently to avoid overworking the meat, which can make the meatballs tough.
- Shape the meatballs evenly: Roll the meatball mixture into 1-inch balls. Use a cookie scoop or your hands to shape the meatballs for a uniform size and shape.
- Brown the meatballs: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil. Brown the meatballs on all sides until they are browned and cooked through. This will help to seal in the flavor and prevent the meatballs from drying out.
- Simmer the meatballs in sauce: Add the browned meatballs to a pot of pizza sauce and bring to a simmer. Simmer the meatballs for at least 30 minutes, or until they are heated through. This will allow the meatballs to absorb the flavor of the sauce.
- Top the pizza with meatballs and cheese: Spread the pizza dough with pizza sauce and then top with the meatballs and shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake the pizza in a preheated oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
