Provided by Kare for Kitchen Treaty

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1/4 cup pomegranate juice
1/4 cup freshly squeezed blood orange juice (from about 1 medium blood orange)
1 teaspoon sugar per glass (optional)
2 cups Prosecco sparkling wine (or champagne/sparkling wine of your choice)
Additional blood orange slices & pomegranate arils for garnish

Steps:

  • Set out 4 champagne flutes - if they're chilled, all the better! Divide juices between each glass (about 1 tablespoon of each type of juice per glass). Add sugar, if using, and stir until dissolved. Fill the cups almost to the top with Prosecco. Pour slowly - there will be fizz! Drop in a few pomegranate arils and top with an orange slice. Serve.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe pomegranates: Look for pomegranates that are heavy for their size and have a deep red color. Avoid any fruits that have brown spots or cracks.
  • Use fresh pomegranate juice: Fresh pomegranate juice is best for making pomegranate champagne cocktails. You can make your own juice by using a juicer or by following the instructions in the article.
  • Chill your ingredients: Make sure to chill your champagne, pomegranate juice, and any other ingredients before making your cocktail. This will help to keep your drink cold and refreshing.
  • Garnish with pomegranate seeds: For a festive touch, garnish your pomegranate champagne cocktail with a few pomegranate seeds. This will add a pop of color and flavor.

Conclusion:

Pomegranate champagne cocktails are a delicious and refreshing way to enjoy the flavors of pomegranate. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a cocktail that is perfect for any occasion. Whether you are celebrating a special event or just enjoying a night out with friends, a pomegranate champagne cocktail is sure to please.
