1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of meat. The best cuts for poor man's steaks are flank steak, skirt steak, or round steak. These cuts are relatively inexpensive and have a lot of flavor.
  • Tenderize the meat. Pound the meat with a meat mallet or use a fork to poke holes in it. This will help to break down the tough fibers and make the meat more tender.
  • Marinate the meat. Marinating the meat for at least 30 minutes will help to add flavor and moisture. You can use a simple marinade made with olive oil, vinegar, and herbs, or you can get creative and try something different.
  • Cook the meat over high heat. Poor man's steaks should be cooked over high heat for a short period of time. This will help to create a nice crust on the outside of the meat while keeping the inside tender and juicy.
  • Let the meat rest. After cooking, let the meat rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more flavorful and tender steak.

Conclusion:

Poor man's steaks are a delicious and affordable way to enjoy a steak dinner. By following these tips, you can make sure that your poor man's steaks are tender, juicy, and flavorful. So next time you're looking for a budget-friendly steak dinner, give poor man's steaks a try!
