Number Of Ingredients 7

8 oz extra-lean (at least 90%) ground beef
2 tablespoons Old El Paso™ original taco seasoning mix (from 1-oz package)
2 tablespoons water
3/4 cup Old El Paso™ traditional refried beans (from 16-oz can)

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better the queso taco pasta bake will taste. This is especially true for the vegetables, such as the tomatoes, onions, and peppers.
  • Cook the pasta al dente: Al dente pasta is slightly firm to the bite and will hold its shape better in the queso taco pasta bake.
  • Use a good quality queso: The queso is the key ingredient in this dish, so it's important to use a good quality one. Look for a queso that is smooth and creamy, with a rich flavor.
  • Don't overcook the queso taco pasta bake: The queso taco pasta bake should be cooked until the pasta is heated through and the cheese is melted, but it shouldn't be overcooked. Overcooked pasta will become mushy and the cheese will become dry.
