Raspberry Blueberry Tea Bread image

This is a recipe that I got from "The Berry Farm" (in Colt's Neck, NJ) some 34+ years ago. I can't say if the berry farm still exists because I haven't lived in NJ for over 20 years.

Tips:

  • Use fresh or frozen berries for the best flavor. If using frozen berries, thaw them before adding them to the batter.
  • Gently fold the berries into the batter to avoid overmixing. Overmixing will make the bread tough.
  • Bake the bread until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Overbaking will make the bread dry.
  • Let the bread cool completely before slicing and serving. This will help the bread hold its shape.
  • Store the bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Conclusion:
