1 medium head garlic
1 teaspoon olive oil
12 potatoes
1 cup butter, softened
4 teaspoons wasabi powder
water as needed
½ cup milk
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Remove papery outer skin of garlic bulb. Rub with olive oil and place on a small baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until skin can be easily pierced with a fork.

Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: For the creamiest mashed potatoes, select starchy potatoes such as Russet potatoes or Yukon Gold potatoes.
  • Cook the potatoes thoroughly: Make sure the potatoes are cooked until they are tender and easily pierced with a fork.
  • Use a ricer or potato masher: A ricer or potato masher will give you a smooth and lump-free mashed potato texture.
  • Add milk and butter gradually: Start with a small amount of milk and butter and gradually add more until you reach the desired consistency.
  • Season the mashed potatoes well: Salt and pepper are essential, but you can also add other seasonings such as garlic powder, onion powder, or herbs like parsley or chives.
  • Use fresh avocado and wasabi: Fresh avocado and wasabi will give the mashed potatoes the best flavor. If you're using store-bought wasabi paste, be sure to use a high-quality brand.
  • Serve the mashed potatoes immediately: Mashed potatoes are best served immediately after they are made. If you need to keep them warm, place them in a slow cooker on the lowest setting.
