2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 can (10-3/4 oz.) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese, cubed and softened
2 tablespoons dry sherry (optional)
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1 lb. fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup frozen peas

  • In large skillet over medium heat, melt butter; add onion. Cook 3 minutes. Add shrimp; cook until barely pink. 1 1/2 pound(s) shrimp, peeled and deviened
1/3 cup(s) butter
1/3 cup(s) flour
1 1/2 cup(s) milk
2 tablespoon(s) dry sherry or chicken broth (i use sherry)
4 teaspoon(s) fresh lemon juice
2 slice(s) french bread, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1 tablespoon(s) butter, melted
- salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Cook shrimp in boiling salted water 1-3 minutes or until opaque. Drain.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. In medium saucepan melt 1/3 cup butter. Stir in flour. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Stir in shrimp, sherry and lemon juice. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
