  • Use a variety of ingredients. In addition to shrimp, this salad can include a variety of other ingredients, such as vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds. Some popular additions include celery, red onion, cucumber, avocado, grape tomatoes, chopped walnuts, and sunflower seeds.
  • Make a flavorful dressing. The dressing for this salad should be light and tangy. A simple vinaigrette made with olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, and herbs is a good option. You can also use a store-bought dressing, such as a honey mustard or ranch dressing.
  • Chill the salad before serving. This salad is best served chilled. After mixing all of the ingredients together, place the salad in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
