INDONESIAN STYLE AVOCADO MILKSHAKE
I was learning more about where these insanely large avocados at my local grocer's came from, and discovered they are West Indian, which are about twice the size or bigger than conventional California avocados sold in American grocery stores. A popular use of these gigantic avocados in Indonesia are these milkshakes, and I saw a really delectable picture of one and decided to create my own based on the description. Vegans can probably use soy or rice milk and it wouldn't diminish the taste.

Steps:
- Peel and seed the avocado-- this would use up one regular-sized avocado but only half of a West Indian one. Scoop out the "meat", making sure to leave behind any browned or blackened parts.
- Put the ice and milk in the blender first, followed by the avocado meat and sugar.
- Roughly chop and blend until it reaches a nice milkshake consistency.
- Squirt some chocolate syrup inside the serving glass up the sides and leave some in the bottom.
- Pour the mixture into the glass and garnish with a cherry if you like.

Tips:
- Choose ripe avocados: Look for avocados that are dark green or almost black in color, and slightly soft when pressed gently. Avoid avocados that are too hard or have blemishes.
- Use frozen bananas: Frozen bananas give the milkshake a thick and creamy texture. If you don't have frozen bananas, you can freeze fresh bananas for at least 2 hours before using.
- Add milk or yogurt: Milk or yogurt adds a creamy texture and flavor to the milkshake. You can use any type of milk or yogurt that you like, including dairy, almond, oat, or soy.
- Sweeten to taste: If you like your milkshake sweet, add a little honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar. You can also use a flavored syrup, such as vanilla or chocolate.
- Add spices and flavorings: For a more flavorful milkshake, add spices like cinnamon or nutmeg, or flavorings like vanilla extract or almond extract.
- Blend until smooth: Blend the milkshake until it is smooth and creamy. If you have a high-powered blender, you can blend the milkshake until it is completely smooth. If you have a less powerful blender, you may need to strain the milkshake through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any chunks.
Conclusion:
This refreshing and creamy avocado milkshake is a delicious and healthy treat that is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. With its simple ingredients and easy preparation, this milkshake is sure to become a favorite.
