SLOPPY JOE BURGERS
The hamburger entree came from my mother, who is a real down-to-center country cook. Because it calls for a can of soup, there's no fussing. The filling can also double as a flavorful baked potato topping.-Leann Jasper, Newmarket, Ontario

Tips:
- Choose the right ground beef: Use 80/20 ground beef for a juicy and flavorful sloppy joe. You can also use ground turkey or chicken for a healthier option.
- Cook the beef thoroughly: Brown the beef over medium heat until it is no longer pink in the center. This will help to prevent foodborne illness.
- Add plenty of flavor: Sloppy joes are all about the flavor, so don't be afraid to add plenty of seasonings. Garlic, onion, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard are all classic additions.
- Use a good quality tomato sauce: The tomato sauce is the base of the sloppy joe, so make sure to use a good quality sauce. You can use a jarred sauce or make your own from scratch.
- Simmer the sloppy joe sauce: Simmering the sauce allows the flavors to meld together and develop. Simmer the sauce for at least 30 minutes, or longer if you have time.
- Serve the sloppy joes on sturdy buns: Sloppy joes can get messy, so make sure to serve them on sturdy buns that can hold up to the sauce.
Conclusion:
Sloppy joes are a classic American comfort food that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With a few simple ingredients and a little time, you can make a delicious sloppy joe that your whole family will love. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give sloppy joes a try.
