Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Cook and stir the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks, until the meat is no longer pink, about 10 minutes. Drain off any excess fat, and mix the sloppy joe sauce into the cooked meat.
- Unroll a can of crescent rolls, and pinch the triangles together to form a single sheet of dough. Lay the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Spread the meat and sauce mixture in an even layer over the dough, and sprinkle the Cheddar cheese over the meat mixture. Unroll the second can of rolls, pinch the triangles together to make a single sheet of dough as before, and place the dough over the cheese.
- Bake the casserole in the preheated oven until the top sheet of dough is golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes.

SLOPPY JOES CRESCENT CASSEROLE
This sounds excellent, but I haven't tried the casserole yet. I have, however, tried the Sloppy Joes and they are fabulous (it's a modified version of My Family's Favorite Sloppy Joes). The original recipe for the crescent casserole simply called for a package of the sloppy joe mix which would be prepared according to instructions on the package, but now that I've had home made Sloppy Joes I don't want to go back to the packaged stuff.

Tips:
- Use a sharp knife to dice the onion and bell pepper. This will help them cook evenly.
- If you don't have a meat grinder, you can use a food processor to grind the beef. Just be sure to pulse it until it's finely ground.
- You can use any type of ground beef you like, but I recommend using a leaner ground beef (80/20) so that the casserole isn't too greasy.
- Be sure to drain the grease from the beef after browning it. This will help to reduce the fat content of the casserole.
- Use a good quality barbecue sauce. This will make a big difference in the flavor of the casserole.
- Don't overcook the crescent rolls. They should be cooked until they're golden brown, but not too crispy.
- Serve the casserole hot with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, green beans, or corn.
Conclusion:
Sloppy Joes Crescent Casserole is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that's perfect for a busy weeknight dinner. The combination of ground beef, barbecue sauce, and crescent rolls is sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you're looking for a quick and tasty meal, give this casserole a try.
