  • Sear the pork roast before cooking: Searing the pork roast before cooking will help to lock in the juices and create a flavorful crust. To sear the pork, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork roast and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until browned.
  • Use a variety of spices and seasonings: A variety of spices and seasonings will help to create a flavorful dish. Some good choices include garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. You can also add fresh herbs, such as rosemary, thyme, or sage.
  • Cook the pork roast on low heat: Cooking the pork roast on low heat will help to ensure that it is cooked evenly and does not dry out. Cook the pork roast for 8-10 hours on low heat, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Add the red cabbage during the last hour of cooking: Adding the red cabbage during the last hour of cooking will help to prevent it from becoming too soft. Simply add the red cabbage to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
