2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons granulated or light brown sugar

Tips:

  • Choose ripe pears: Select pears that are slightly soft when pressed gently. Avoid pears that are too hard or have bruises or blemishes.
  • Use a variety of spices: Don't be afraid to experiment with different spices to create your own unique flavor combination. Some popular spices to use with pears include cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
  • Don't overcook the pears: Pears should be cooked until they are tender but still hold their shape. Overcooked pears will become mushy and lose their flavor.
  • Serve the pears warm or cold: Spiced pears can be served warm or cold. If you are serving them warm, top them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. If you are serving them cold, chill them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Conclusion:

Spiced pears are a delicious and versatile dessert that can be enjoyed in many different ways. Whether you serve them warm or cold, topped with ice cream or whipped cream, or simply on their own, they are sure to be a hit with your family and friends. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy dessert, give spiced pears a try. You won't be disappointed!
