Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 box sugar free yellow cake mix
1/3 c oil
1/4 c water
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 box neufchatel cream cheese, softened
1 can(s) no sugar added apple pie filling

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 13 x 9 baking dish.
  • 2. Using an electric mixer, mix together cake mix, oil, water and eggs. Mix until well blended. Add in vanilla and mix until combined. Add cream cheese and mix until blended. Add in pie filling and mix long enough to make sure it is well incorporated into the batter. Pour batter into prepared dish.
  • 3. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes (depending on your pan) or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted in center of cake. Remove from oven and let cool down. Cut into squares.

Tips:

  • Use a good quality sugar-free sweetener. Not all sugar-free sweeteners are created equal. Some have a bitter aftertaste or can leave a strange texture in your mouth. Do some research to find a sweetener that you like the taste of and that works well in baking. Popular options include stevia, erythritol, and monk fruit.
  • Be careful not to overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the cake tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
  • Don't overcook the cake. An overcooked cake will be dry and crumbly. Check the cake for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center. If the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is done.
  • Let the cake cool completely before serving. This will help the cake to set and will also make it easier to slice.
  • Serve the cake with your favorite toppings. Some popular options include whipped cream, ice cream, or fruit. You can also drizzle the cake with a sugar-free glaze.

Conclusion:

Sugar-free apple cake is a delicious and healthy dessert that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is a great way to use up leftover apples, and it is also a good option for people who are watching their sugar intake. With a few simple tips, you can make a sugar-free apple cake that is just as good as the traditional version.
