This is a great recipe I came across in a magazine and made some changes to. I had to share (I'm drinking it right now, it's delicious!) It's very healthy, full of vitamins, low fat and low cal, and it tastes like a treat. If you're watching your weight, want to start a healthier diet, or just want a tasty smoothie this is a recipe you should try. Best of all, it's extremely easy!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/4 cup raspberries, fresh or frozen
1/2 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
1/2 cup pomegranate juice
1/4 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
3 -5 ice cubes

Steps:

  • In a blender, combine the fruit, pomegranate juice, yogurt, lemon zest and juice, and blend until smooth.
  • Add the ice cubes, and blend again until it is smooth.
  • Note: If using frozen fruit, you may need to add additional yogurt for consistency.

3 cubes ice
1 banana
1 cup mixed frozen berries
2 teaspoons chia seeds
2 tablespoons flax seeds
2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
¼ cup almond milk, or to taste
¼ cup cranberry juice, or to taste
1 teaspoon sunflower seeds
1 teaspoon pepitas

Steps:

  • Combine ice cubes, banana, mixed berries, chia seeds, flax seeds, Greek yogurt, almond milk, and cranberry juice in a high-performance blender such as a NutriBullet® or Magic Bullet®. Blend until smooth, adjusting almond milk and cranberry juice amount as desired. Pour into a bowl and sprinkle with sunflower seeds and pepitas.
