Steps:
- Heat 1/4 teaspoon olive oil in a small skillet over medium-high heat. Saute garlic in hot oil until just beginning to brown.
- Mix sauteed garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, honey, 1/2 teaspoon olive oil, brown sugar, sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes together in a bowl; pour into a large resealable plastic bag. Add salmon fillets, turning to coat with the marinade, squeeze bag to remove excess air, and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- Remove salmon from the marinade and shake to remove excess liquid. Reserve 3 tablespoons marinade and discard remainder.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Arrange salmon fillets in the hot skillet, pour reserved marinade over the salmon, and place a lid on the skillet; cook until salmon is browned on each side and flakes easily with a fork, occasionally spooning liquid from the pan over the fillets, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Garnish salmon with additional sea salt and black pepper.

SWEET SAMBAL SALMON FILLETS
There are many hot chile pepper pastes used as table condiments in China and Southeast Asia; I used sambal oelek which is the most common and most popular. Containing chiles, salt, vinegar and sometimes garlic and tamarind, the fiery paste gives food a powerful flavor boost giving this Salmon recipe an Asian flair. Serve on a bed of greens to keep the carbs down or on a bed of rice.

Tips:
- Choose the freshest salmon fillets you can find. This will ensure that your dish is as flavorful as possible.
- Make sure your salmon fillets are cooked through. The internal temperature of the fish should reach 145 degrees Fahrenheit (63 degrees Celsius) before you remove it from the heat.
- Don't overcook the salmon. Overcooked salmon will be dry and tough. Cook it just until it is opaque in the center.
- Use a good quality sweet sambal sauce. The sauce is the key to this dish, so make sure you choose one that you enjoy.
- Serve the salmon fillets immediately. This dish is best served fresh out of the oven.
Conclusion:
Sweet sambal salmon fillets are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. The salmon is cooked in a sweet and tangy sauce that is sure to please everyone at the table. This dish can be served with a variety of sides, such as rice, vegetables, or potatoes.
