15 taco shells, broken up, or more to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Cook ground beef and onions in a skillet over medium heat until beef is browned, 7 to 10 minutes; drain grease. Stir in water and taco seasoning; cook, stirring often, until thickened, about 2 minutes. Add refried beans, salsa, olives, and green chiles. Cook and stir over low heat until ingredients are warmed through, 3 to 4 minutes.

2 bags nacho cheese doritos
nonstick cooking spray
1 tube crescent dough
16 oz daisy sour cream
1 bag mozzarella cheese
1 bag mild cheddar cheese
topping of your choice, such as lettuce, tomato, and avocado

Steps:

  • First get your oven preheated to 350°F (180°C).
  • Then cook your meat so it's nice and browned. Once it's browned, add your 2 taco seasoning packets and cook it according to the directions on the back. Once that is done add your taco sauce and let the meat continue to cook for about 5 minutes on medium-low heat. Set your meat aside.
  • Smash both bags of Doritos chips to crumbs.
  • Now time to start layering . You'll need a 9 x 13-inch (23 x 33 cm) glass pan or 8 x 12-inch (20 x 30.5 cm). Spray with a generous amount of nonstick spray.
  • Open your tube of crescent rolls and lay them out on the pan and spread it out to cover the bottom of the pan. Then you'll add about ¾ of the bag of smashed Doritos on top of that, spreading it out evenly. Now add the meat and spread it evenly. Add the whole container of sour cream and spread it evenly. 1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chiles (such as RO*TEL®)
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 cup long-grain white rice
1 cup water
1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning

½ (8 ounce) package grated sharp Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 7x11-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
  • Heat ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir, breaking up into crumbles, until browned, about 5 minutes. Add onion and garlic and cook for 5 more minutes. Mix in diced tomatoes and green chiles, tomato sauce, rice, water, and taco seasoning; stir to combine. Transfer mixture to the prepared casserole dish and cover with foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove foil and sprinkle Cheddar cheese evenly over the top. Continue baking until cheese is golden and lightly browned, about 15 minutes more.

1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Tomato Soup
1 cup Pace® Chunky Salsa OR Pace® Picante Sauce
1/2 cup milk
6 flour tortillas (8-inch) OR 8 corn tortillas (6-inch), cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (about 4 ounces)

Steps:

  • Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned, stirring often. Pour off any fat.
  • Stir the soup, salsa, milk, tortillas and half the cheese in the skillet. Spoon the beef mixture into a 2-quart shallow baking dish. Cover the baking dish.
  • Bake at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes or until the beef mixture is hot and bubbling. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.

This came from a bottle of Ortega Taco Sauce. I have been holding onto to this little 2 by 3 inch label with the recipe on it for years, so I figured I better post it before I lose it! If I don't have taco shells, sometimes I use broken tortilla chips. I did tweak it to our tastes a bit. We really enjoy it...hope you do, too.

1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup ortega thick & smooth taco sauce
3/4 cup water
1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies
1 (1 1/4 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
12 white taco shells or 12 yellow taco shells, broken,divided
8 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese or 8 ounces Mexican blend cheese
chopped tomato
sliced green onion
sour cream
sliced jalapeno

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375*.
  • Grease 11 x 7 inch baking dish.
  • Cook beef and onion until beef is browned; drain.
  • Stir in taco sauce, water, chiles and seasoning mix.
  • Cook over low heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Layer half of broken shells on bottom of baking dish.
  • Cover with half of meat mixture; sprinkle with 1 cup of cheese.
  • Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly.

  • Stir taco seasoning mix, salsa and corn into beef. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Pour into ungreased 8-inch square pan or 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish.
