Vikki's Red Bean Sausage image

I went to a great restaurant in Savannah one summer and had red beans and rice. When I came home, I tried to figure out just how they made it. I haven't figured it out exactly, but this recipe is a pretty good imitation. Serve with hot white rice, fried potatoes, and cornbread if desired.

Tips:

- Use fresh, ripe tomatoes for the best flavor. If fresh tomatoes are not available, you can use canned tomatoes, but be sure to choose high-quality canned tomatoes. - Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking the meat. If the meat is overcrowded, it will not brown properly and will end up tough. - Simmer the sauce for at least 30 minutes, or longer for a richer flavor. - Season the sauce to taste with salt, pepper, and other spices. - Serve the sauce over your favorite pasta, such as spaghetti, meatballs, or lasagna.

Conclusion:

This spaghetti sauce recipe is a classic Italian dish that is easy to make and delicious. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a flavorful and hearty sauce that will be the star of your next meal. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy weeknight dinner, give this spaghetti sauce recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
