Time 3h30m

Yield 16

Number Of Ingredients 12

¾ cup brown sugar
½ cup honey
¼ cup garlic powder
¼ cup onion powder
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or more to taste
1 lime, sliced into wedges
1 rack pork ribs
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks drained, juice reserved
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  • Mix brown sugar, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, cumin, and cayenne pepper in a bowl to create the seasoning rub.
  • Squeeze lime juice over the ribs; rub the seasoning mix on both sides. Place the ribs in a large roasting pan; you may need to cut ribs in half to fit. Distribute the pineapple chunks on top of ribs. Pour beer and reserved pineapple juice directly into the roasting pan. Cover pan tightly with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until tender, 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Let stand for 15 minutes.
  • Remove pan from oven; let cool for 15 minutes before serving.

I've made this recipe several times and it's always a crowd-pleaser. The ribs are always fall-off-the-bone tender and the glaze is to die for.

This recipe was easy to follow and the ribs turned out great. I used baby back ribs and they were done in about an hour.

I thought this recipe was just okay. The ribs were tender, but the glaze was a little bland. I think I'll try a different recipe next time.

These ribs were good, but not great. The meat was a little tough and the glaze was too sweet for my taste.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my ribs turned out dry and tough. I followed the recipe exactly, so I'm not sure what happened.
