Brown Rice Pilaf image

I really like this as a side to roast chicken. Plus it is easy to make!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 c chopped onion
1 c chopped celery
1 c chicken broth
1 c water
4 oz can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1 tsp salt
1 tsp poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 c long grain brown rice, uncooked
1/4 c parsley

Steps:

  • 1. Combine the first 8 ingredients in a large saucepan; bring to a boil.
  • 2. Stir in the rice; cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 45 minutes oruntil the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Stir in the parsley. Serve immediately.
