Chinese Style Green Beans image

These go great with most any Asian themed dish and also to get more green veggies into your diet!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 Tbsp roasted peanut or sesame oil
1 clove garlic, thinly sliced
1/2 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
1/2 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp toasted sesame seeds

Steps:

  • 1. Just blanch green beans in boiling water. Drain and set aside.
  • 2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in the garlic, and cook until just starting to soften and become aromatic.
  • 3. Add the green beans and stir-fry until they begin to soften. Stir sugar and soy sauce. Continue to cook for five more minutes.
  • 4. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and serve!
