I fixed this for breakfast when my daughter and her family were visiting from out of state. It made a wonderful breakfast, so tasty! Serve with toast, biscuits or anything you like. Enjoy!

Time 1h5m

Number Of Ingredients 8

9 frozen hashbrown patties (like the ones at mcdonalds)
1 1/2 lb bulk breakfast sausage (mild or hot, your preference)
12 large eggs
3/4 c heavy cream
1/2 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 tsp salt
black pepper to taste (optional)
additional cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 2. Brown sausage until cooked through and set aside. Combine eggs, heavy cream, salt, cheese and beat thoroughly.
  • 3. Layer hashbrown patties in the bottom of the prepared pan. Spoon sausage over hashbrowns. Pour egg mixture over sausage. Sprinkle addition cheese on the top.
  • 4. Cover with foil and bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Remove from oven and remove foil. Sprinkle additional cheese, if desired and return to oven and bake 10 more minutes or until knife inserted in the center comes out clean and casserole is browned. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

I'm allergic to eggs, so I'm not sure if I can make this casserole.

This casserole was a disappointment. It was dry and flavorless. I won't be making it again.

This casserole was a bit bland for my taste, but my kids liked it. I think next time I'll add some chopped peppers or onions to give it more flavor.

This casserole was a lifesaver for our busy mornings. It was quick and easy to make, and my family loved it. The only thing I changed was adding a bit more cheese.

Followed the recipe to the T, and it turned out great! The casserole was moist and flavorful, and the bacon added a nice touch of smokiness. Will definitely be making this again.
