She called it Bean Ghoulash, originally made with leftover pinto beans, tomatoes and seasonings with meat. This is a much quicker method. Some people call it chili but it is different. Steps:
- 1. Place beans in a big pot and add the cup of water. In the meantime fry the hamburger meat till done, then add the onion and bell pepper and cook another 5 minutes, then stir in the garlic, then drain very well. Add this to the beans and bring to a bubble then turn to low and simmer stirring every few minutes for about 15 minutes. Then serve.
- 2. You can use a variety of things as toppings such as sour cream or jalapeno, or cheese, or green onions, or crushed tortilla chips, or crackers or cheese.
