Cooking spray
4 teaspoons Dijon mustard
8 slices whole-wheat bread
4 teaspoons light mayonnaise
2 ripe pears, cored and thinly sliced (canned pears may also be used)

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

I added a little bit of Dijon mustard to the sandwiches and it was delicious. I think it added a nice tangy flavor.

I used a different type of bread than the recipe called for, and it turned out great. I think you could use any type of bread you like.

I'm not a big fan of pears, but I really enjoyed these sandwiches. The pears added a nice sweetness that balanced out the salty ham and cheese.
