Deep Dish Brownies image

Rich, decadent and thick brownies that melt in your mouth!

Number Of Ingredients 9

3/4 c (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, melted
1 1/2 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 eggs
3/4 c all-purpose flour
1/2 c baking cocoa
1 c semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 F.; grease an 8-inch square baking pan (or use cooking spray).
  • 2. Combine butter, sugar and vanilla in bowl; add eggs and beat well with an electric mixer on low speed.
  • 3. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to egg mixture, beating until well blended; stir in chocolate chips.
  • 4. Spread batter evenly into pan.
  • 5. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan; cool completely in pan on wire rack and cut into bars.
