Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 or more bunch green onion bulbs and roots
1 container water
1 window seal, sunny if possible

Steps:

  • 1. Place old wilted green onions along with bulb and roots in water. Keep water fresh to prevent rotting.
  • 2. Watch them grow!
  • 3. I couldn't believe it! My onions were wilted and dead, really ready for the garbage. I found this info somewhere online and I gave it a try. Those green onions in the photo are my 4-inch wilted green onions that I almost tossed. They even have NEW sprouts on them. I have a couple of bunches in the fridge now. Can you guess what I plan on doing with these?

These pancakes are a great way to use up leftover green onions, but they're not something I would make on a regular basis.

I love green onions, but these pancakes were just okay. They were a bit too oily for my taste.

The recipe was easy to follow, but the pancakes didn't turn out as expected. They were too greasy and didn't have much flavor.

I've tried this recipe several times and I can never seem to get the pancakes to cook evenly. They're always burnt on the outside and raw on the inside.

I'm not a huge fan of green onions, but these pancakes were surprisingly good. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and the green onions added a nice savory flavor.
