This old timer is a Food Section classic from the L.A. Times. It goes back to its' first printing in 1965. It's a moist and fudgy brownie in the shape of a pie.

Steps:
- 1. Put eggs, sugar, butter, flour, cocoa, vanilla, and salt in small mixer bowl. Beat 4 minutes. Stir in nuts and pour into greased 8 inch pie pan.
- 2. Bake at 325 for 30 minutes or til done. Pie will settle like a meringue when cool. Cut in wedges and serve with whipped cream. Serves 8
