Canola oil, for frying
1 pound okra
Salt
10 fresh sage leaves

Place okra on a serving platter. Fry sage leaves in a single batch until crisp and nearly translucent, about 1 minute. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and sprinkle with salt. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my okra turned out really tough. I think I might have overcooked it.

This recipe is a great way to use up leftover okra. I also like to add some chopped bacon or sausage to the batter for extra flavor.

This recipe was a disaster! The okra was soggy and the batter was bland. I followed the recipe exactly, so I'm not sure what went wrong.

This fried okra recipe is a keeper! The okra was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the batter was flavorful and well-seasoned. I served it with a side of ranch dressing and it was perfect.
