Grandma's Sloppy Joes image

This is my Grandma's recipe for sloppy Joe's, It's so much better than the canned stuff and super easy to make.

Provided by Heather Hyde

Categories     Beef

Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/2 lb ground beef (hamburger meat)
1 can(s) tomato soup
1/2 c brown sugar, lightly packed
1 c ketchup
1/3 c mustard
1/2 tsp liquid smoke flavoring
1-2 pinch of salt & pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Brown the ground beef (hamburger meat)
  • 2. When the beef is browned, add all ingredients, mix well, let cook and med/high for about 10 minutes to let the flavors soak into the meat, put on any kind of buns, bread, flat bread or chips & enjoy. Goes good with chips and your choice of dip. It's also a great one to leave in the crock pot and serve at a pot luck or for the busy family. Spice it up any way you want.

These sloppy joes were just okay. They were a little too sweet for my taste, but my kids loved them. I would probably make them again, but I would reduce the amount of sugar next time.

These sloppy joes were a disappointment. They were bland and the texture was mushy. I would not recommend this recipe.

I've made these sloppy joes several times and they are always a hit! They are so easy to make and so delicious. I love that they can be made ahead of time and reheated when you're ready to eat.

These sloppy joes were just okay. They were a little too sweet for my taste and the texture was a bit too mushy. I think I would have preferred them if they were made with ground beef instead of ground turkey.

I made these sloppy joes for a party and they were a huge success! Everyone loved them. They were so flavorful and messy, just the way I like them. I will definitely be making these again for my next party.

These sloppy joes were a hit with my family! They were easy to make and so delicious. I love that they can be made in the crock pot, so I can just set them and forget them. I will definitely be making these again.
