MOM'S THREE-BEAN SALAD image

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 Can Cut Green Beans
1 Can Cut Wax Beans
1 Can Kidney Beans
1 Green Bell Pepper Cut into strips other color peppers can be substituted.
1/2 Cup Onion - Red Onion Recommended for Color
Dressing:
1 1/2 Cup White Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Salt
1/2 Cup Water
2 Cups Sugar
1/4 to 1/2 Teaspoon ground Black Pepper (Or to taste)

Steps:

  • Drain both the Green and Wax beans and add them to your bowl. Drain and rinse the kidney beans before adding them as well. Add both the Onion and pepper strips. In a saucepan bring all the ingredients for the dressing to a boil, stirring as necessary until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from the heat and let cool slightly before pouring over the bean mixture. Stir to make sure everything is well coated and let sit in the fridge for 24 hours before serving.
