Orange Creamsicle® Frosting image

I was in a pinch when I couldn't find orange extract for a orange Creamsicle® frosting; this recipe could be changed up to any flavor by using different flavors of Kool-Aid®.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
½ cup butter, softened
1 package unsweetened orange-flavored soft drink mix (such as Kool-Aid®)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 cups confectioners' sugar, or as needed

Steps:

  • Beat cream cheese, butter, orange-flavored soft drink mix, and vanilla extract together in a bowl with an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add confectioners' sugar until desired consistency is reached.
