Number Of Ingredients 13

1 or 2 heads of bibb lettuce
8 grape tomatoes cut in half
1/4 c craisins (dried cranberries)
2 bosc pears sliced
8 whole pecans (candied)
1/4 c olive oil
1/4 c balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c provolone cheesee (bought in chunk)
CANDIED PECANS
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp brown sugar
8-10 pecans

Steps:

  • 1. Wash and dry lettuce. Bibb lettuce works very well with this recipe.
  • 2. Cut the grape tomatoes in half
  • 3. Put the lettuce, tomatoes, craisins in a bowl. Slice the pears into thin wedges and mix with lettuce.
  • 4. Candy the pecans by melting the butter and adding the sugar-when melted together, add pecans and coat. Cook for about 4 minutes turing them.
  • 5. Make the dressing. Mix venegar and oil together. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • 6. Pour dressing over salad and top with the candied pecans. Makes 4 portions.

This salad was a disappointment. The pears were not ripe and the dressing was too oily.

I found this salad to be bland. I would recommend adding more spices or herbs to the dressing.

This salad is a bit too sweet for my taste. I would recommend using less honey in the dressing.

This salad is a great way to use up leftover pears. I also like to add a bit of crumbled bacon for extra flavor.

I'm not a big fan of pears, but I really enjoyed this salad. The pears were sweet and juicy, and they paired well with the other ingredients.

This pear pecan salad was a real treat! The combination of sweet pears, crunchy pecans, and creamy goat cheese was perfect. I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out great. I will definitely be making this again.
