I give this sweet and tangy jam as a Christmas gift. In this part of the country, pears and raspberries are in plentiful supply, but frozen berries work just as well.

Provided by Taste of Home

Yield 6 half-pints.

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups coarsely chopped peeled ripe pears (about 2 medium)
2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries
6 cups sugar
2 tablespoons bottled lemon juice
2 teaspoons finely grated orange zest
1 pouch (3 ounces) liquid fruit pectin

I'm not a big fan of pears, but this jam is actually really good. I think the combination of pears and raspberries is what makes it so special.

This jam is a bit too sweet for my taste. I think I'll try reducing the amount of sugar next time.

This pear-raspberry jam is an absolute delight! The combination of sweet pears and tart raspberries creates a perfectly balanced flavor profile. I love the way the jam thickens up without any added pectin, and the vibrant color is just stunning.
