Steps:
- Heat the butter in a saucepan and add the onion and garlic. Cook, stirring, until wilted. Add the curry powder, bay leaf, salt, pepper and rice, stirring to coat the grains.
- Add the broth and cover. Bring to a boil, lower the heat and simmer for exactly 17 minutes. Remove the bay leaf and serve.
