Salem College Iced Tea image

Salem College is in Winston Salem, Nc. My grandmother went there & this was her favorite tea. I love it, too!

Yield 1 gallon

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 sprigs of fresh mint
8 whole cloves
3 quarts water
1 ounce tea leaves
1 lb sugar
8 lemons, juiced & reserved
6 oranges, juiced & reserved
1 (46 ounce) can pineapple juice

Steps:

  • Place the mint & cloves in the water, bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 - 15 minutes, add the tea, steep for 10 - 15 minutes, strain immediately dissolve sugar in the hot tea. Stir in the fruit juices, Refrigerate after it has become room teperature.
